Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (FMCG)

Training and unlimited progression

Salary: £50,000 - £52,000 + Overtime

Location: Dagenham

A leading industrial manufacturing company based in Dagenham is currently recruiting for a multi-skilled shift engineer (Mechanical Bias) to join their team. The business is experiencing significant growth, with several new sites being added this year alone. The company forecasts large profits over the next 12 months, has nearly doubled its investment into the engineering team, and offers extensive internal training and many progression opportunities for maintenance engineers, including the possibility to move into other skilled roles.

This role requires the successful candidate to perform both planned and reactive maintenance on the production line, primarily dealing with mechanical faults, with some electrical maintenance assistance required. Therefore, being multi-skilled is essential. The position involves working on a rotating days & nights shift pattern, with each shift lasting 12 hours. Alongside a competitive salary package and numerous overtime opportunities, the company provides a pension plan.

Requirements for the Shift Maintenance Engineer:

• Multi-skilled Engineer (Mechanical Bias)
• Minimum Level 3 engineering qualification
• Willingness to work on rotating days & nights shifts
• Experience from manufacturing, industrial, or armed forces backgrounds (RAF, Army, Navy, Marine, etc.)
