Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd. seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a flagship White City, West London contract. You will manage day-to-day maintenance, lead on-site technicians, and ensure performance against KPIs while coordinating with the Contract Manager.

The role involves electrical maintenance, BMS monitoring, and routine servicing of AHUs/FCUs in a high-end commercial office environment. Occasional travel to Paddington and Farringdon may be required.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience to manage on-site maintenance staff.
• Client-facing role experience in a facilities environment.
• Multiskilled maintenance capability across building systems.
• Experience with commercial building maintenance is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Contract Manager and support day-to-day contract operations.
• Manage performance against KPIs and SLAs with regular reporting.
• Supervise and sign off specialist subcontractor works.
• Maintain accurate site log books, records and audit-ready documentation.
• Attend and contribute to client meetings as required.
• Carry out electrical maintenance including minor installations and fault-finding.
• Perform emergency lighting tests and fire alarm testing per schedules.
• Service AHUs and FCUs (filters, cleaning).
• Monitor and respond to BMS controls (heating/cooling/environmental).

CBW Staffing Solutions is recruiting an Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a prestigious, high-end commercial offices in White City, West London. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established FM service provider and take full ownership of a flagship contract.

The successful candidate will deliver all aspects of multi-skilled building maintenance, support the day-to-day management of the contract, and provide leadership to on-site maintenance staff. This role is ideally suited to a Lead Engineer from a similar background who is looking to develop further into a management position.

You will be based at White City but occassional cover of a site in Paddington and Farringdon maybe required (Travel Expensed)

Salary & Benefits

• Up to £52,000 per annum
• Monday to Friday | 40 hours per week (08:0017:00)
• 1-in-2 call-out rota
• Overtime available

Key Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Contract Manager and support the day-to-day running of the contract
• Manage performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs, providing regular reports
• Arrange, supervise, and sign off specialist subcontractor works
• Maintain accurate site log books, records, and audit-ready documentation
• Attend and contribute to client meetings as required
• Carry out electrical maintenance including minor installations, fault-finding, and lamp replacements
• Perform emergency lighting tests and fire alarm testing in line with maintenance schedules
• Service air conditioning systems including AHUs and FCUs (filter changes and cleaning)
• Monitor and respond to BMS systems, including heating, cooling, and environmental controls

Requirements

• Mechanical qualification NVQ Level 2 & 3 or City & Guilds equivalent
• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Multi-skilled with a strong commercial building maintenance background
• Previous experience within a residential environment is advantageous
• Professional, client-facing, and well-presented
