Job summary

Questech Recruitment Ltd are recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a well-established manufacturing business in Doncaster. You will perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown work to keep extrusion machines, mixers and other equipment running safely and efficiently.

You'll work 8:30am-5:00pm (Mon-Fri) with some overtime and a strong focus on fault-finding, continuous improvement and adherence to company procedures. Location: Doncaster.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in manufacturing.
• Strong fault-finding and repair skills across production machinery.
• Experience with rotating machinery, bearings, shafts and gearboxes.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is desirable.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Doncaster

Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 + Profit Share Bonus

Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (flexible)

Overtime: Available

Questech Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client, a well-established manufacturing business based in Doncaster.

The Role

Working as part of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown maintenance, ensuring production machinery remains safe, reliable and operational.

Key Duties

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Mechanical fault-finding and repairs across production machinery.
• Maintain and repair extrusion machines, mixers, heaters and winders.
• Maintain shafts, bearings, gearboxes and other mechanical components.
• Fault-find and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults quickly to minimise production downtime.

About You

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Experience with rotating machinery, bearings, shafts and gearboxes.
• Good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving.
• Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications are desirable
