Pioneer Selection Ltd. are recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a family-run British manufacturer in Doncaster.

You will maintain production machinery with a focus on mechanical fault finding, diagnostics, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics, ensuring production runs smoothly. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance, plus involvement in machinery upgrades, installations and site improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Must have mechanical maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with preventive (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Engineering qualification.
• Health & Safety conscious with a proactive approach.
• Experience in production/manufacturing environment.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery.
• Fault-finding on mechanical systems including bearings, gearboxes, pumps, motors, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Support general engineering maintenance to keep production running.
• Lead machinery upgrades, installations and site improvement projects.
• Work in a days-based schedule with no weekend work.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Doncaster

Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 + Bonus

Shift: Days

I’m working with a family-run British manufacturer looking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.

You’ll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery, with a strong focus on mechanical fault finding, diagnostics, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, motors, hydraulics and pneumatics. You’ll also support general engineering maintenance to keep production running efficiently.

The role will also involve getting involved in a variety of exciting engineering projects, including machinery upgrades, installations, improvements and wider site development initiatives.
