Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a Site Based Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a permanent, full-time role in the Cramlington area. The position is site-based within a Global Facilities Management organisation, with core hours Monday to Friday and participation in an on-call rota.

• Qualified to Level 3 City & Guilds or equivalent.
• Experience in facilities management maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical systems, including HVAC, pump systems, air compressors, water chillers, plumbing, boilers and other related equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and longevity
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections and repairs
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Assist in the procurement of necessary parts and supplies for maintenance tasks
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior maintenance staff as needed
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and provide timely resolutions

This is a permanent and full time position, site based in the Cramlington area.

Package

• Competitive salary between £40,000 - £43,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Requirements

• Qualified to at least Level 3 City & Guilds in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering or Plumbing & Heating or equivalent
• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within the facilities management industry
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing and boilers
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices and procedures
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and schematics
