Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is recruiting for a Site based Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in Cramlington to join a facilities management team supporting the end-client’s mechanical infrastructure. The role covers routine and preventative maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, boilers and associated equipment, with on-call rota responsibility and core hours Monday to Friday.

Training and progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Qualified to at least Level 3 City & Guilds in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering or Plumbing & Heating.
• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within facilities management.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and boilers.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical systems, including HVAC, pump systems, air compressors, water chillers, plumbing, boilers and other related equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and longevity
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections and repairs
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Assist in the procurement of necessary parts and supplies for maintenance tasks
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior maintenance staff as needed
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and provide timely resolutions

CBW Staffing Solutions are currently hiring for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Plumber for our facilities management client’s on-site team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems maintenance and a proactive approach to problem-solving. As a Mechanical Plumber, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of the end-client’s mechanical infrastructure.

This is a permanent and full time position, site based in the Cramlington area.

Package

• Competitive salary between £40,000 - £43,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• Core hours are Monday to Friday
• Participation in 'out of hours' on call rota
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
