Winsearch is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a long-established commercial laundry operation in Sheffield. You will maintain, repair and improve a wide range of laundry machinery to keep the production running smoothly.

We are looking for someone with strong mechanical maintenance skills and good electrical fault-finding ability. Formal electrical qualifications aren’t essential. The role is PM shift-based with a 40-hour week and overtime opportunities to boost earnings.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Commercial Laundry)

Sheffield

£38,480 Basic + Regular Overtime (OTE £44,000+) + Company Phone + Excellent Benefits

Permanent | PM Shift

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a long-established commercial laundry business based in Sheffield.

The Role

Working as part of a close-knit engineering team of five, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving a wide range of commercial laundry machinery and equipment to ensure the smooth running of the operation.

This role is ideally suited to a mechanically biased engineer who also possesses good electrical fault-finding skills. Formal electrical qualifications are not essential, but you should be comfortable working with electrical systems and diagnosing faults.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Responding to equipment breakdowns and carrying out fault finding

Requirements

• Previous maintenance engineering experience within manufacturing, production, laundry, FMCG or similar environments
• Strong mechanical maintenance skills
• Good electrical knowledge and fault-finding ability

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• PM Shift: 2:30pm - 11:45pm
• 40 hours per week

Please note: As part of this role, engineers are expected to work an additional 5 hours overtime on either a Saturday or Sunday on approximately 46 weekends per year. These hours are paid at time and a half and form part of the expected earnings package.

There are also further overtime opportunities available for those wishing to increase their earnings.
