Job summary

Questech Recruitment Ltd in Barnsley is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing company. You will maintain production machinery, carry out PPM, diagnose breakdowns and repair gearboxes, with hands-on experience in pneumatics and hydraulics and CMMS record-keeping.

The role supports a 4-shift rota, offering a stable environment within a busy engineering team. NVQ3 in engineering and 4+ years' industrial maintenance experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 4 years' industrial maintenance experience.
• Previous manufacturing or engineering experience.
• Good knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Experience using CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical maintenance and repairs on production machinery and plant.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns.
• Fault-find on mechanical systems, including gearboxes.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Barnsley

Salary: £48,336.70 per annum, including shift allowance

Shift Pattern: 4-Shift Rota

Shifts

• 6am - 2pm, Monday to Friday
• 2pm - 10pm, Monday to Friday
• 10pm - 6am, Monday to Friday
• 6am - 4pm, Thursday to Sunday
