Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Role & Responsibilities:

• Maintain, repair, and fault find on plant and machinery using various maintenance disciplines.
• Contribute toward machine efficiency and development programmes using existing maintenance programmes and CI methodologies including 5 why analysis.
• Complete preventative maintenance inspections and identify and implement action plans to prevent reoccurring faults.
• Complete risk assessments and equipment isolation procedures.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a maintenance technician in a busy, high-volume manufacturing environment, with a recognized apprenticeship in a suitable discipline, ideally educated to HNC level.
• Mechanically biased, with experience in both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• Proficient in fault finding and repairs in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, servicing and repair of gearboxes and large mechanical equipment, and workshop skills including welding, fabrication, and use of workshop equipment such as lathes, milling machines, and pillar drills.
• Good understanding of fault finding on PLCs including GEM80, Allen Bradley, or Siemens S7.
