Job summary

NHS Forth Valley is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Craftsperson to join the Estates Services Department. Reporting to the Estates Engineering Supervisor, you will be part of the Facilities & Infrastructure multi skilled team delivering mechanical maintenance, refurbishment and new installation work across NHS Forth Valley buildings.

You will provide day-to-day maintenance, support planned and reactive works, and travel across the service area as required.

Qualifications

  • Must be a member of the PVG Scheme.
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance within a healthcare or similar facilities environment is desirable.

  • Carry out refurbishment and new installation work to maintain NHS Forth Valley buildings.
  • Travel throughout the service area is essential for this post.

Job description

A vacancy has arisen for a Mechanical Maintenance Craftsperson. Reporting to the Estates Engineering Supervisor, the Mechanical Maintenance Craftsperson will be part of the Facilities & Infrastructure multi skilled team working within the Estates Services Department.

The post holder will assist in providing a day-to-day statutory, planned and reactive mechanical maintenance service, refurbishment and new installation work to ensure that the internal and external fabric on all of the NHS Forth Valley buildings is maintained to a reasonable standard. The main challenges for this department are to meet the demands of a modern healthcare service while providing an effective and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
