Job summary

Salter Grange Limited is seeking a Mechanical Lead for a flagship hyperscale data centre project in the Netherlands. The role focuses on owning the mechanical package, coordinating subcontractors, and delivering the project safely, on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background, at least 5 years of large mechanical construction leadership, and excellent organisational and communication skills. Opportunities for long-term progression across Europe are available.

Qualifications

• Trade background with a relevant engineering qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience delivering large mechanical construction projects.
• Experience leading mechanical packages on major construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project and AutoCAD.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders within a fast-paced project environment.
• Experience within data centre, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, industrial or mission-critical sectors beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical package across the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate daily site operations and subcontractor activities.
• Oversee installation through to handover and commissioning.
• Monitor programme progress, labour and productivity.
• Track project costs, variations and commercial performance with the commercial team.
• Chair and attend site, planning and coordination meetings.
• Ensure health & safety and project documentation are maintained to the highest standard.

\u003cpSalter Grange is recruiting on behalf of a leading Tier 1 engineering and construction contractor that specialises in delivering some of Europe\'s largest and most technically complex data centre projects.\u003c/p>\u003cpDue to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Lead to join a flagship hyperscale data centre project in the Netherlands. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a market-leading contractor offering long-term career progression across major projects throughout Europe.\u003c/p>\u003cpAs Mechanical Lead, you will take ownership of the mechanical package, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
