Job summary

DC People is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Lead to own mechanical systems across construction projects on-site. You will lead planning, delivery, testing, commissioning and handover of HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire protection, coordinating with electrical, civil and architectural teams.

You\'ll manage subcontractors and suppliers, review designs, support value engineering, ensure compliance with codes and safety standards, and mentor junior site engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7–10+ years delivering mechanical systems on large-scale projects.
• Proven experience with HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire protection.
• Familiarity with BIM and AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot site-based mechanical issues and develop practical solutions.
• Ensure installations comply with local and international codes, standards and safety regulations.
• Run inspections, risk assessments and quality checks to maintain high construction standards.
• Prepare and maintain QA/QC, commissioning and O&M documentation.
• Lead and mentor mechanical site engineers and supervisors.

Job description

We're hiring a Mechanical Lead to take ownership of mechanical systems and services across our construction projects. You'll run mechanical delivery end to end,. HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire protection. from design input through installation, testing and handover, making sure the work is technically sound, cost-efficient and on programme.

This is a hands-on leadership role on site, working alongside electrical, civil and architectural teams and managing the subcontractors and suppliers who deliver the works.

**What you'll bring**

• Proven experience managing HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire protection systems
• Familiarity with BIM and mechanical design tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks)
• Strong technical and engineering grounding in mechanical systems
• Excellent problem-solving and coordination skills
• Strong leadership and communication ability
