Job summary

UKSE Group is seeking two experienced Mechanical Fitters to work on a two-month pump station refurbishment across multiple West London sites. The role involves cleaning and preparing pump stations, removing old pumps and pipework, and installing new ones in ductile iron and stainless steel systems.

You will work in a small team with a company van and fuel card provided. To succeed you must hold a CSCS card, Thames Water Passport, and Medium Risk Confined Space cert, with a full UK driving

Qualifications

• CSCS Card – essential.
• Thames Water Passport – essential; training can be provided.
• Medium Risk Confined Space certification – essential; training can be provided.
• Full UK driving licence – essential.
• Experience with mechanical pipework and pump station work.
• Experience with ductile iron and/or stainless steel pipework.
• Own hand and power tools (drills, grinders).
• Comfortable with physically demanding, dirty site work.
• Willing to work across multiple West London sites.

2x Mechanical Fitters – Pump Station Refurbishment

Start Date: 02/11/2026
Contract: 2 months, Monday to Friday
Location: Various sites across West London
Team: Working as part of a 3-person team
Vehicle: Company van and fuel card provided

Overtime: If over 10-hour days, time and a third

We are looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters to work on a 2-month pump station refurbishment project across various sites in West London.

The role involves pump station refurbishments and is physically demanding, dirty work. Duties will include cleaning out pump stations, cutting out existing pipework, removing pumps and guide rails, and installing new ones.

Duties:

• Cleaning and preparing pump station areas.
• Cutting out and removing existing pipework and pumps.
• Installing and replacing pipework and pumps
• Working with ductile iron flanged pipework and some stainless-steel pipework.
• Using power tools including drills and grinders.
• Working safely within confined spaces.
• General mechanical installation and refurbishment duties.
• Working as part of a small team across multiple West London sites.

Requirements:

• CSCS Card – essential.
• Thames Water Passport – essential; training can be provided.
• Medium Risk Confined Space certification – essential; training can be provided.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Must be comfortable with physically demanding, dirty site work.
• Previous experience with mechanical pipework/pump station works.
• Experience working with ductile iron flanged pipework and/or stainless steel.
• Own hand and power tools, including drills and grinders.
• Full orange high-visibility PPE.
• 5-point PPE.
