Job summary

Fraser Edwards Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a long-term installation and remedials contract for a leading Water Treatment client. The role offers consistent, ongoing work within the water industry.

You will perform mechanical installation, maintenance and remedial works across water treatment sites, install, assemble and modify equipment, read drawings and specifications, and work safely to site requirements.

Qualifications

• Thames Water Pass preferred.
• Relevant mechanical qualifications or trade experience.
• Experience in water treatment, utilities, industrial or similar environments preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Good health & safety awareness.
• Reliable, professional and able to work independently.
• Own tools and relevant PPE.

• Mechanical installation, maintenance and remedial works across water treatment sites.

The Role

• Mechanical installation, maintenance and remedial works across water treatment sites
• Installation, assembly and modification of mechanical equipment and systems
• Mechanical repairs, maintenance and fault finding
• Working from drawings and technical specifications
• Working safely in accordance with site and client requirements
• Completing works to a high standard and within project timescales

Requirements

• Ideally hold current Thames Water Pass
• Relevant mechanical qualifications / trade experience
• Previous experience within water treatment, utilities, industrial or similar environments preferred
• Strong understanding of mechanical installation, maintenance and remedial works
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Good health & safety awareness
• Reliable, professional and able to work independently
• Own tools and relevant PPE
