Job summary

Mpi-Limited in Essex is recruiting Mechanical Fitters for permanent roles focused on aerospace component repairs for major operators such as Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, ATR and Bombardier. The role covers disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, part replacement and re-assembly of aircraft components, including windows, drain masts, and engine mounts, to reduce costs and add value for customers.

Ideally you will have experience as a Mechanical Technician, with aviation or motor manufacturing

Qualifications

• Experience as a Mechanical Technician with aviation or motor manufacturing is preferred.
• Understanding of technical publications and aerospace working practices is desirable.
• Desirable but not essential: BTEC/BNC/ONC/HNC/HND or equivalent engineering qualification.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and replace parts of aircraft components.
• Re-assemble components such as windows, drain masts, engine mounts and related assemblies.
• Maintain quality to reduce costs and add value for customers.

Our client provides component repairs for commercial aircraft operators (Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, ATR, and Bombardier).

Due to Expansion we are looking for Skilled Mechanical Fitters.

THE POSITION

The primary purpose of the job will be the disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, part replacement and re-assembly of aircraft components such as windows, sliding tables, drain masts, Engine mounts etc. in order to reduce costs and add value to our customers.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Ideally, the successful candidate will be an experienced Mechanical Technician, ideally with specific experience in trimming and upholstery in aviation or motor manufacturing. You will also have an understanding of technical publications and knowledge of Commercial Aerospace working practices.

A recognised engineering qualification such as BTEC, BNC, ONC or HNC/HND is desirable but not essential
