Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join a family-run engineering and manufacturing company near Wolverhampton. The role covers both workshop and customer-site work on rotating equipment, with about 50/50 split between shop floor and site assignments within an hour of Wolverhampton.

You will fit, strip, inspect, repair and align pumps, gearboxes and motors, read technical drawings, and perform installations while maintaining high workmanship standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical Fitter in engineering/manufacturing.
• Experience with rotating equipment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical fitting, assembly and maintenance of rotating equipment.
• Work on pumps, gearboxes, motors, shafts, bearings and related components.
• Strip-down, inspection, repair and rebuild of rotating machinery.
• Interpret engineering drawings and follow technical specifications.
• Carry out mechanical work in workshop and on customer sites.
• Installation, alignment and commissioning of rotating equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs.
• Maintain high workmanship standards and meet deadlines.
