Job summary

Quay Personnel is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter for a client in the St.Helens area. The role involves overhauling and refurbishing electric motors, alternators, pumps and motorised gearboxes.

You will primarily work in the workshop, with occasional on-site mechanical removal and installation tasks. A time-served fitter with experience in repairing motors and gearboxes is preferred, and electrical qualifications would be an advantage.

Qualifications

Job description - Mechanical Fitter

Our client is an Engineering company based in the St.Helens area and they require a skilled Mechanical Fitter. The role involves overhauling and refurbishing electric motors, alternators, various pumps and motorised gearboxes. The role is mainly in their workshop but sometimes you will be required to work on site mechanically removing and installing equipment.

You should be a time served Mechanical Fitter ideally with experience of repairing and refurbishing electric motors, alternators and gearboxes, any electrical experience/qualifications would be an advantage.

The normal hours of work are 7.30am - 4pm Monday to Friday. The basic salary is £39600 to £41600 plus regular overtime and call out bonus.
