Job summary

Wagstaff Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Fitter for a leading global manufacturer based in Buxton. The role focuses on fault-finding, repairs and keeping downtime to a minimum while maintaining high machine availability. You will follow maintenance schedules, work with a fitters team and adhere to health and safety standards. The position offers an early/late 4-day week with overtime opportunities and a KPI bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience as a mechanical fitter or in a similar role.
• Engineering apprenticeship or similar engineering qualification.
• Knowledge of preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Mechanical fault finding and servicing skills.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge.
• Good time management, problem solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical fault-finding and repairs.
• Working in a team of mechanical fitter to ensure minimal downtime.
• Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed at all times.
• Following and completing all planned maintenance schedules.
• Ensure health & Safety standards are met at all times.
