Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter in Buxton. The role offers a base salary of £38,000 plus bonus and overtime, with early and late shifts and a 4-day week on the late shift. Expect extensive overtime opportunities with rates at 1.5x & 2x and a KPI bonus scheme.

You will work in a global manufacturing environment, performing fault-finding, repairs and maintenance to maximise machine availability while following health and safety regulations and maintenance schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience as a mechanical fitter or in a similar role.
• Engineering apprenticeship or similar qualification.
• Knowledge of preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge.
• Good time management, problem solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical fault-finding and repairs
• Work in a team of mechanical fitters to minimise downtime
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times
• Follow and complete all planned maintenance schedules
• Ensure health & safety standards are met at all times.
