Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting a Mechanical Fitter for a leading global manufacturer in Buxton. The role aims to minimise downtime and maximise machine availability, with a 4-day week on the late shift and overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities include fault finding, routine and reactive maintenance, and adherence to health and safety guidelines while supporting planned maintenance schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience as a mechanical fitter or similar role.
• Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Mechanical fault finding and servicing skills.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge.
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical fault-finding and repairs.
• Work in a team to minimise downtime.
• Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
• Follow and complete planned maintenance schedules.
• Ensure health & safety standards are met at all times.
