Job summary

Elix Sourcing Solutions Limited in Birmingham is seeking a Mechanical Fitter for a days-based role with regular overtime, progression and training opportunities. You will repair and rebuild gearboxes, pumps and electric motors in a workshop setting.

A background in mechanical fitting or engineering is required; apprenticeships or time-served experience are welcomed. Driving licence is a bonus but not essential, with company pension and ongoing training on offer.

Birmingham
£18 to £20 per hour + (OTE 55k) Overtime + Training + Progression + Benefits

Are you a Mechanical Fitter looking for a stable, permanent role with real progression, varied work and regular overtime?

The company are an established engineering business specialising in the repair and overhaul of rotating equipment across a range of industrial applications. They are looking to add fitters to their team in the Birmingham area.

The role involves repairing and rebuilding gearboxes, pumps, electric motors and fans, mainly in the workshop with occasional work at customer sites.

The Role

• Repair and rebuild gearboxes, pumps and electric motors
• Monday to Friday - 40 hours
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs
• Fit and remove bearings
• Use precision measuring tools and workshop machinery
• Days shifts with regular overtime

The Person

• Mechanical fitting or engineering background
• Apprentice trained or time-served preferred, not essential
• Willing to learn rotating equipment repair
