Job summary

The Birmingham-based mechanical fitter role offers dayshift work (Mon-Fri, 40 hours) with regular overtime. You will repair and rebuild gearboxes, pumps, and electric motors in a workshop setting, with occasional customer-site work.

A mechanical fitting or engineering background and apprentice/time-served status are valued, with progression and training provided. Salary ranges from £18-£20 per hour, with enhanced overtime rates and benefits, plus a pension and sick pay.

Are you a Mechanical Fitter looking for a stable, permanent role with real progression, varied work and regular overtime?

The company are an established engineering business specialising in the repair and overhaul of rotating equipment across a range of industrial applications. They are looking to add fitters to their team in the Birmingham area.

The role involves repairing and rebuilding gearboxes, pumps, electric motors and fans, mainly in the workshop with occasional work at customer sites.

The Role

• Repair and rebuild gearboxes, pumps and electric motors
• Monday to Friday - 40 hours
