Job summary

Premier Technical Recruitment Ltd client in Sheffield is recruiting Mechanical Fitters to join a busy facility. You will assemble machinery from drawings, fit components, and install hydraulic and pneumatic systems. The role includes fault finding, testing and commissioning support, with overtime and progression opportunities.

Working a 39-hour week with pension, quarterly attendance bonus, and clear scope for career progression in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a mechanical fitter and able to read engineering drawings.
• Experience fitting bearings, motors, gearboxes, shafts and rollers.
• Familiar with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and basic fault finding.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and build machinery from engineering drawings.
• Fit mechanical components including bearings, motors, gearboxes, shafts and rollers.
• Install hydraulic and pneumatic systems and carry out fault finding and repairs.
• Test and inspect machinery to ensure safe operation.
• Use hand and power tools safely and assist with commissioning.
