Job summary

Reevr Talent Ltd is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to support the assembly of complex equipment in West Yorkshire. Working from engineering drawings, you will build mechanical subassemblies and complete machines, including conveyor systems and robotics.

This is a hands‑on role for someone with practical fitting skills. Rate is £20-£24 per hour outside IR35, for a 3–6 month contract.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical fitting and machine assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with conveyors or automated systems is a plus.
• Safety‑conscious with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies and complete machines from engineering drawings.
• Fit and align conveyor systems, mechanical mechanisms and automation equipment.
• Use hand and power tools to complete assembly work accurately and safely.
• Carry out drilling, tapping and minor component modifications where required.
• Identify and resolve mechanical fitting and assembly issues.
• Work closely with the build team to meet project deadlines and quality requirements.

Working from engineering drawings and assembly information, you will build mechanical subassemblies and complete machines, including conveyor systems and equipment incorporating robotics. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with experience building machinery and resolving practical fitting issues.

• Fit and align conveyor systems, mechanical mechanisms and automation equipment
• Use hand and power tools to complete assembly work accurately and safely

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in mechanical fitting, machine building or assembly of industrial equipment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Confident using hand tools, power tools and mechanical assembly techniques
• Experience with bespoke machinery, conveyors or automated systems would be beneficial
• Practical problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
