LRL is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Fitter to work on a National Grid substation project in Sundon. Immediate start is available for candidates with NG experience and a valid Telehandler licence.

The role covers mechanical fitting and installation on site, handling and positioning of equipment, and collaboration with other trades while following strict health and safety procedures.

LRL is currently recruiting for one experienced Mechanical Fitter with National Grid (NG) experience and a valid Telehandler licence to work on a substation project at Sundon.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical fitting and installation work on site.
• Assist with the installation, positioning and assembly of mechanical equipment.
• Operate a telehandler to safely move and position materials around site.
• Follow site lifting procedures and health and safety regulations.
• Work alongside other trades to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Proven mechanical fitting experience.
• Previous National Grid (NG) site experience.
• Valid Telehandler operator licence, accepted by the project.
• Relevant site safety qualifications and certifications.
• Strong commitment to health and safety
