Nicholas Associates is seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join its engineering team in a heavy manufacturing setting. You will service and repair automated production line machinery to minimise downtime and support installations and breakdowns.

Role involves 4-on, 4-off days with shifts; 6am–6pm in 4-on teams, with competitive pay including a base rate and overtime. Opportunities for progression and a comprehensive benefits package are available.

Qualifications

• Time served apprentice trained or above.
• Previous experience in a maintenance-focused role within manufacturing/production.
• Experience with hydraulics, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, seals, pneumatic systems, welding, conveyors, chains, drive belts.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production downtime.
• Provide technical support on projects, installations and breakdowns.
• PPMs and routine maintenance planning.

Shift choices available:

Option 1:

Monday to Friday days - 9am to 5:30pm - some flex around start times example 7am to 3:30pm

Pay: £20.84 p/h + 26% shift premium £26.65 p/h 42hr week = £58,203 per annum + OT available.

Role involves shift cover - covering shift engineers holidays/sickness working DAYS only 4on 4off 6am to 6pm. (approx. cover up to 12 shifts)

Option 2

Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm and Friday 6am to 4pm

Pay: £45,800 + OT available

Holidays and Benefits Overtime: x1.5 Mon-Sat and x2 on Sundays, Holidays: 25 days, Generous pension, Life assurance, onsite parking, enhanced parental leave.

Location: Near Mountsorrel - Leicester

Environment: Manufacturing - Production line machinery maintenance.

Overview:

Working on large production line machinery we now require a Maintenance Fitter to join the Maintenance team.

Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter role:

• To maintain service and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production down time.
• Provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns
• PPM's

The ideal candidate / Mechanical Fitter may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

• Time served apprentice trained or above
• Previous experience working in a maintenance focused role within a manufacturing/production environment or similar.
• Experience working with hydraulics, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, seal changes, pneumatic systems, welding, conveyors, chains, drive belts etc.
• Commutable from:
• Mountsorrel, Barrow upon Soar, Loughborough, Rothley, Leicester and surrounding areas.
