Mechanical Fitter

Our client in Kettering is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join their team. This role involves the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment, requiring a strong understanding of mechanical principles, practical skills, and adherence to safety and industry standards.

The Role:

You will be responsible for:

1. Bench fitting of mechanical components.
2. Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings accurately.
3. Assembling mechanical parts to high standards of quality and functionality.
4. Using a variety of hand tools proficiently.
5. Performing drilling and tapping operations precisely.

About You:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with:

• Proven experience in bench fitting.
• The ability to read and understand complex mechanical drawings.
• Experience in assembling mechanical parts.
• Proficiency in using hand tools.
• Skills in drilling and tapping.
• Experience with milling machines or electrical assembly is a plus.

Salary and Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm (30 minutes unpaid lunch)
• £15-£16 per hour depending on experience
