Overview

Reporting to: The Mechanical Fitter will report to the Contracts Manager. This position may also receive professional instructions from Site Supervisors, Project Managers and Project Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment on water and wastewater treatment sites, including fitting pipework, pumps, valves, and other treatment components.


• Work from technical drawings, troubleshoot installation issues, and ensure all work is completed safely and to industry standards.


• Setting to technical drawings


• Welding & fabrication site activities as required


• Operating site-specific power tools and equipment


• Adherence to Health and Safety protocols


• Following instruction from Site Supervisors and Contract Managers
