Job summary

MTrec Ltd Technical is seeking a Mechanical Fitter for an offshore-capable role with a specialist engineering client. You will interpret drawings, assemble sub-assemblies, install and test controls, and ensure assemblies meet time and quality targets.

Travel to customer sites, including offshore locations, is required. Time served or equivalent experience is essential; experience with SP machines and adherence to SOPs is valued.

Qualifications

• Time served or equivalent experience as a Mechanical Fitter.
• Experience building special purpose machines is required.
• Ability to read assembly/technical documentation such as drawings and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering assembly drawings and check parts before assembly.
• Assemble and fit parts to form sub-assemblies.
• Install and test controls on assemblies.
• Build assemblies to stated time and quality targets.

The Company

Our client is a specialist engineering company. Due growth they are now looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter; the role will involve offshore work.

The Role

• Will be working permanent day shift assembling and building their specialist products.


• Interpret engineering assembly drawings, check parts before commencement of assembly.


• Assemble and fit parts to form sub-assemblies.


• Installation and test of controls.


• To build assemblies to the stated assembly time and quality level.


• Traveling to customer sites including offshore.

The Person

• Time Served Mechanical Fitter or have relevant experience.


• Experience of building special purpose machines.


• Experience in assembly.


• Ability to read assembly/technical documentation such as drawings and work instructions.


• Adhere to manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).


• Offshore experience and tickets preferred but not essential.


• Must be willing to gain offshore tickets and work offshore.
