Job summary

MTrec Limited in the United Kingdom is recruiting a time served Mechanical Fitter for a permanent day shift role that involves offshore work and assembling specialist products.

You will read and interpret assembly drawings, build sub-assemblies, install and test controls, and ensure every unit meets the stated time and quality levels while travelling to customer sites offshore.

Offshore tickets are preferred but not essential; you must be willing to gain offshore qualifications and work offshore.

Qualifications

• Time served fitter or equivalent experience.
• Experience building special purpose machines.
• Ability to read assembly/technical drawings and work instructions.
• Adherence to Manufacturing SOPs (SOPs).
• Offshore experience and tickets preferred but not essential.
• Willingness to gain offshore tickets and work offshore.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and build sub-assemblies from engineering drawings.
• Interpret and check parts before commencement of assembly.
• Install and test controls on assemblies.
• Build assemblies to stated time and quality levels.
• Travel to customer sites including offshore.

The Company

Our client is a specialist engineering company. Due growth they are now looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter; the role will involve offshore work.

The Role

• Will be working permanent day shift assembling and building their specialist products.
• Interpret engineering assembly drawings, check parts before commencement of assembly.
• Assemble and fit parts to form sub-assemblies.
• Installation and test of controls.
• To build assemblies to the stated assembly time and quality level.
• Traveling to customer sites including offshore.

The Person

• Time Served Mechanical Fitter or have relevant experience.
• Experience of building special purpose machines.
• Experience in assembly.
• Ability to read assembly/technical documentation such as drawings and work instructions.
• Adhere to manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
• Offshore experience and tickets preferred but not essential.
• Must be willing to gain offshore tickets and work offshore.
