CJS Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their Sittingbourne team. The role focuses on preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical building services projects across South and South East England.

You will review drawings and specifications, calculate labour and material costs, and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as Mechanical Estimator.
• Technical knowledge of mechanical building services, including HVAC, heating, ventilation, plumbing and pipework.
• Experience reviewing mechanical drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Ability to prepare detailed cost estimates, measure quantities and calculate labour and material costs.
• Experience obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Strong commercial awareness of project costs and profitability.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and relevant estimating software.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented, proactive and able to work independently or in a team.

• Ensure estimates are accurate, commercially viable and aligned with client specifications.
• Assist with tender clarifications, cost reviews and handover of successful tenders to the delivery team.
• Maintain organised records of estimates, quotations and tender documentation.

The Role
