Job summary

Notion4 Ltd. seeks an experienced Mechanical Estimator in Erith, Kent to manage cost estimation from tender through to handover.

You will collaborate with Sales, Technical and Project teams to review specs, assess costs and ensure design compliance for mechanical installations. The role requires strong numerical and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build relationships with clients and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in mechanical estimating, engineering or a construction‑related environment.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, equipment and costs.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings and schematics.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication, organisation and time‑management skills.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
• Basic AutoCAD or Revit skills would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, materials and equipment requirements.
• Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs) and liaise with clients and technical teams.
• Review supplier and subcontractor quotations for cost and technical compliance.
• Support the Sales team with tender clarifications, exclusions and submissions.
• Assess material, plant and equipment costs and support procurement activities.
• Assist with project execution plans and pre-construction activities.
• Identify prefabrication opportunities and support off-site assembly design.
• Prepare technical submittals, installation information and project documentation.
• Attend client design meetings and technical workshops.
• Review and update drawings, schematics and design information.
• Liaise with client control teams regarding system interfaces.
• Support design reviews, testing, commissioning and project handover.
• Maintain accurate records and produce as‑built and handover documentation.

Mechanical Estimator

Location: Erith, Kent

Salary: £65,000-£75,000 per annum

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (35 hours per week)

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our team in Erith, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded professional with engineering or construction experience to support the successful delivery of mechanical projects from tender stage through to installation, commissioning and handover.
