Job summary

RecruitME is recruiting a Mechanical Estimator to join its growing M&E team near Sleaford, Lincolnshire. You’ll prepare accurate tenders for medium to large mechanical building services projects, review drawings and specifications, and manage take-offs and pricing through tender submissions.

The role suits an estimator with a strong mechanical services background, familiar with HVAC, heating, ventilation and plumbing, and able to liaise with design, commercial and delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Prepare detailed estimates for HVAC, heating, ventilation, plumbing and public health installations.
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Complete take-offs and calculate material, labour, plant and subcontractor costs.
• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Produce tender submissions and pricing schedules.
• Identify commercial risks, cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
• Work with design, commercial and project delivery teams.
• Manage tender deadlines, clarifications and project handovers.

Bring your mechanical estimating expertise to an established, employee-owned contractor delivering varied building services projects across the UK.

RecruitME is recruiting a Mechanical Estimator to join a growing Mechanical, Electrical and Construction near Sleaford, Lincolnshire.

Working within an experienced estimating team, you’ll prepare accurate, competitive tenders for medium to large mechanical building services projects. You’ll be involved throughout the tender process, from reviewing drawings and completing take-offs to evaluating quotations and handing successful projects over to the delivery team.

This role would suit a Mechanical Estimator, Senior Mechanical Estimator or M&E Estimator with a strong mechanical services background.

What you’ll bring

• At least five years’ experience within the construction industry.
• Experience in mechanical estimating, tender preparation and material take-offs.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services, including HVAC, heating, ventilation and plumbing.
• The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Commercial awareness, accurate costing skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication, organisation and deadline management.
• Competence with Microsoft Office.
• A full UK driving licence.

Experience with Amtech or Trimble estimating software, Defence sector projects, electrical building services or general construction would be an advantage.
