Job summary

Dornan is recruiting for a Mechanical Building Services Engineering Graduate Programme based in London or across the UK. You will work on live projects and gain exposure to chilled water systems, ventilation, BMS, refrigeration and sprinkler systems as you rotate through mechanical engineering disciplines.

The programme offers structured training, hands-on experience with experienced engineers and clients, and a clear path to professional development starting June or September 2027.

Qualifications

• Working towards, or have already attained, a Mechanical or Building Services Degree (Level 8).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of reports and studies including cost estimates, project schedules and tender schedules.
• Assisting with the preparation of technical and contract documentation.
• Preparing method statements and risk assessments with the construction team.
• Carrying out Quality Control through inspections and snagging.
• Assisting projects with financial control of contracts.

This Programme ensures that graduates gain experience in all areas of mechanical engineering within a live construction setting.

Your day-to-day will include
