Job summary

Kier Group is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to support a major water infrastructure programme in the Thames Valley. The role covers Oxford, Swindon, Reading and surrounding areas with permanent and contract options available.

You’ll contribute to MEICA-enabled mechanical engineering, oversee installation and commissioning of pumps, valves and pipework, and review drawings and technical documentation while liaising with site teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience in water/wastewater projects.
• MEICA experience and understanding of process equipment.
• Ability to read drawings and technical documentation.
• Site liaison and commissioning experience.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical engineering support throughout project delivery.
• Mechanical installation, inspection and commissioning.
• Pumps, valves, pipework and process equipment.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Supporting MEICA integration.
• Resolving technical issues on site.
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, to specification and programme.
