Job summary

Northern Diver (International) Ltd in Appley Bridge, near Wigan, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, verify and manufacture high‑reliability equipment for divers. You will work across full product lifecycle, from concept through certification, collaborating with electronics, software, manufacturing and quality teams.

The role requires strong CAD skills (SolidWorks/Autodesk), GD&T, DFMEA/PPAP knowledge, hands‑on testing, and the ability to deliver manufacturable solutions under regulatory

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mechanical design within manufacturing or safety‑critical environments.
• Strong CAD skills with SolidWorks or Autodesk for modeling and drawings.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerancing, FMEA, and PPAP practices.
• Hands‑on testing experience and ability to support product validation.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Create 2D drawings with GD&T and manufacturing details.
• Develop products through CNC, injection molding, forging, and additive methods.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams for lifecycle delivery and certification.
