Job summary

Balfour Beatty VINCI seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join the Central Region in Birmingham. You will coordinate the design, installation and delivery of mechanical works across IPT areas, supporting the Engineering Manager to ensure safe and efficient delivery of complex systems within a major infrastructure project.

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience coordinating mechanical design and delivery on large projects.
• Ability to review designs, specs and subcontractor proposals.
• Strong knowledge of standards, compliance and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design, installation and delivery of mechanical works across project areas.
• Assist Engineering Manager to ensure safe, efficient delivery of mechanical systems.
• Review designs, specifications and subcontractor proposals with feedback.
• Embed safety, quality and compliance throughout design and delivery stages.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and subcontractors for integration.
• Manage technical approvals, documentation and assurance processes.
• Support risk assessments and technical workshops to drive project outcomes.
