Job summary

Assystem GmbH is seeking Mechanical Engineers across Graduate to Principal levels to support Bridgwater and Bristol projects. You will work on mechanical, piping, HVAC and process systems, assist with commissioning and validation, and help ensure smooth turnover and operational readiness.

The role involves coordinating contractors and stakeholders, reviewing technical documentation, and maintaining nuclear safety and quality compliance throughout project milestones.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engineering solutions across mechanical, piping, HVAC and process systems
• Support commissioning, testing and validation of mechanical systems
• Contribute to construction, installation and equipment engineering activities
• Support system turnover, handover and operational readiness programmes
• Resolve technical issues, site queries and engineering challenges
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary project stakeholders
• Review technical documentation, design changes and construction modifications
• Ensure compliance with nuclear safety, quality and regulatory requirements
• Manage interfaces across engineering, construction and commissioning teams
• Support major project milestones through to operational readiness
