Job summary

ASSYSTEM Bridgwater, England, United Kingdom is seeking a Construction Engineer to monitor and verify mechanical construction activities across assigned systems on a major nuclear project. You will collaborate with quality and construction teams to maintain site standards and record inspections before handover.

The role requires a degree in Mechanical or Construction Engineering, knowledge of pipework, supports and equipment, and the ability to interpret isometric drawings.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Construction Engineering.
• Understanding of mechanical installation scopes such as pipework, supports, or equipment.
• Awareness of CDM Regulations and how they apply to construction environments.
• Ability to interpret isometric drawings or layout plans to verify installation accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and verify mechanical construction activities across assigned systems.
• Identify, report, and support resolution of non-conformances or deviations.
• Collaborate with quality and construction teams to maintain site standards.
• Record inspections, track documentation, and verify completion before handover.
• Assist with coordination between mechanical, piping, and civil interfaces during construction.
