Junior Technical Coordination Engineer

Job Mission

This is a hybrid role, open to those within commutable distance of Bristol or willing to relocate with support from a small relocation allowance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the plant configuration baseline – the project’s single source of truth
• Track and support assessment of design changes to ensure safety and compliance
• Help maintain integrity of digital plant models, drawings, and engineering records
• Liaise with designers, contractors, and technical specialists to capture modifications
• Support commissioning and handover activities with accurate configuration data
• Contribute to reporting, KPI tracking, and data analysis to support decision-making
• Participate in cross-disciplinary coordination meetings to resolve technical issues
• Perform quality checks on engineering deliverables for consistency and accuracy

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related engineering field
• Early career or placement experience in engineering projects
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Desired Skills

• Exposure to large industrial or infrastructure projects (energy, oil & gas, etc.)
• Familiarity with design change processes or configuration management tools
• Understanding of technical drawings, models, or databases
• Interest in developing a career within highly regulated, complex projects
