We are preparing for our most ambitious Asset Management Period yet, known as AMP 8, which will involve delivering a larger program of work than ever before. We are driving change, setting global benchmarks, and building a better environment, while also providing growth and development opportunities for our workforce. We aim to build on our existing teams and foster an environment for career progression.

Our engineering team works on water and water recycling projects across the region to ensure continuous water supply. Comprising a diverse and enthusiastic workforce, we strive to deliver industry-leading solutions in a timely and safe manner.

To strengthen our mechanical engineering capabilities and bring fresh ideas, we are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team over the next year.

What will you be doing as our new Mechanical Engineer?

You will work within a multidisciplinary project team, providing mechanical engineering expertise to develop and deliver water TOTEX solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Lead the preparation and analysis of mechanical options, ensuring risks are mitigated and aligning with the Project Basis of Design.
  2. Perform design calculations for sizing mechanical, hydraulic, power generating, and building services equipment.
  3. Liaise with the supply chain to assess and understand the latest technologies during optioneering.
  4. Collaborate with the design team to develop 3D models and solutions.
  5. Oversee outputs such as P&IDs, Data sheets, HAZID and HAZOP studies, and mechanical input into commissioning plans and performance tests.
  6. Support health & safety excellence by producing safe designs compliant with CDM Regulations and standards.
  7. Identify and promote opportunities aligned with project digital, sustainability, innovation, and people objectives.

Skills, experience, and behaviors required:

You should hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering and have extensive practical mechanical design experience (ideally 8-10 years) in a similar environment. A proven track record in designing hydraulic and mechanical systems, understanding of modular build and construction processes, and knowledge of electrical control, instrumentation, and switchgear are essential. You should be capable of making informed decisions in complex situations and contributing to a collaborative, safety-conscious, and innovative team environment.

If you are eager to apply your mechanical engineering expertise in a dynamic environment where you can add value, please apply today!
