Technical Manager - Place Based Thinking (@one Alliance)

Location: Peterborough

Contract Type: Full Time Permanent

The Vacancy

Binnies, an RSK Group Company, is seeking a Technical Manager (Place Based Thinking) to join our team as part of the @one Alliance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead CDM Principal Designer duties, ensuring technical outputs align with the Totex Delivery Process and project affordability within agreed timescales.
  2. Provide technical support during assembly as a visible and hands-on leader.
  3. Deliver complete designs that meet project requirements, incorporating technological advancements and aiming for fully attributed 3D models for data manipulation.
  4. Develop and embed standard products, quality standards, collaborative working approaches, and the Risk, Opportunity & Value process to optimize performance and reputation.
  5. Promote health & safety excellence through audits and documentation, ensuring safety is never compromised.
  6. Plan technical aspects of projects by liaising with Lead Project Managers, Integrated Project Leaders, and Discipline Heads, with attention to resource allocation.
  7. Manage diverse stakeholder groups, acting as the trusted technical link between Operations, Construction, and Commissioning.
  8. Create an environment for team development, pushing boundaries to outperform expectations.

Skills, Experience, and Behaviors:

  • Degree, HNC, or HND in Engineering.
  • Experience in a technical role managing designs and multidisciplinary projects.
  • Ability to inspire and lead teams, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Strong collaboration skills and technical expertise to make decisive, safety-conscious decisions.
  • Integrity, accountability, and excellent stakeholder rapport building.
