Job summary

Insight Executive are recruiting a Mechanical Technician to maintain critical building services within a large, regulated environment. You will perform PPM and reactive tasks, fault-find across HVAC systems, and ensure safety systems and documentation are up to date.

The role offers a permanent, full-time contract with salary up to £40,000, 33 days of holiday, pension, training and progression opportunities, and out-of-hours support as required.

Qualifications

• Fault-finding and mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience with heating, ventilation, pumps, boilers or associated plant.
• Understanding of safe systems of work, permits and mechanical isolation.
• Experience using CAFM or maintenance management systems.
• Flexible approach to shift patterns, weekend work and emergency call-outs.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Fault-finding, testing, servicing and repairs across mechanical building services.
• Maintaining boilers, pumps, heating and chilled water systems.
• Working on calorifiers, pressure systems and associated mechanical plant.
• Supporting ventilation systems, including AHUs, extract systems, fans and filters.
• Responding to plant failures, alarms and service interruptions.
• Completing accurate maintenance records through CAFM systems.
• Working in accordance with permits, RAMS, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Supporting emergency and out-of-hours maintenance requirements when required.

Insight Executive are working exclusively with an established FM service provider who are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. Location: Wiltshire Salary: Up to £40,000 + excellent benefits Contract: Permanent, Full Time This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Mechanical Technician with a strong background in building services, mechanical maintenance, plumbing, heating or HVAC to join a well-established facilities management operation. You will be responsible for maintaining critical mechanical building services within a large, complex and highly regulated environment, ensuring essential systems remain safe, compliant and operational. The Role

About You

• A recognised mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent structured training
• A relevant Level 3 qualification such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent
• Experience within mechanical building services, facilities management, commercial, industrial or similarly regulated environmentsStrong fault-finding and mechanical maintenance experience
• Experience with heating, ventilation, pumps, boilers or associated plant
• An understanding of safe systems of work, permits and mechanical isolation
• Experience using CAFM or maintenance management systems
