Job summary

Entrust Resource Solutions is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer on a fixed‑term contract basis in Livingston, to sustain and improve production equipment. The role involves diagnosing faults, performing preventative maintenance and supporting projects to enhance reliability and reduce downtime.

You will work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams, interpreting technical drawings, recording documentation and contributing to continuous improvement while adhering to health,

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Strong practical mechanical engineering experience within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in fault finding, root cause analysis and preventive maintenance.
• Experience of equipment modifications, installations and improvements.
• Confidence interpreting mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
• A practical approach to problem solving with ability to work independently and across teams.

Responsibilities

Entrust Resource Solutions is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Engineer on behalf of a client within regulated manufacturing.

This hands‑on role will focus on maintaining and improving production equipment, resolving mechanical faults and supporting engineering projects to improve reliability and reduce downtime.

The role:

Working closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams, you will:

• Support equipment installations, modifications and upgrades.

• Contribute to continuous improvement projects and support technical training for manufacturing employees.
• Ensure all work meets relevant health, safety, quality and regulatory requirements.

What we're looking for
