Job summary

Viridor Limited seeks a Mechanical Engineer for the new Energy Recovery Facility in Tilbury, Essex. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, reporting into Engineering and Maintenance teams to ensure reliability and safety.

You will plan maintenance activities, oversee stores and workshops, and guide colleagues to improve asset availability and performance at a landmark UK ERF project.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical machinery repair methods, materials and maintenance practices.
• Experience working within Permit to Work and Safe Systems of Work processes.
• Experience supervising teams and contractors to deliver KPIs.
• Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute maintenance activities across the ERF plant.
• Manage stores and workshops to support maintenance operations.
• Provide guidance and support to colleagues to develop capability.
• Drive continuous improvement of maintenance practices and reliability.
