Job description

Job Title: Test Engineer

Pay Rate: £18.19

Location: Wimborne

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Working Hours: 37.5 hours/week, 9:00 AM - 5:15 PM, Monday to Thursday; 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM on Friday

Responsibilities:
  1. Work safely in line with behavioral safety principles.
  2. Ensure compliance with PPE requirements.
  3. Support NTIs by testing materials and concepts, developing or following appropriate test methods in collaboration with Project Engineers. Analyze, interpret, and communicate results through summary test reports.
  4. Support NPIs by bench testing prototype products, developing or following appropriate test methods in collaboration with global NPI teams. Analyze, interpret, and communicate results through bench test reports.
  5. Write protocols, work instructions, and procedures.
  6. Communicate effectively with other departments regarding test results.
  7. Learn and apply department processes, procedures, and equipment.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Understanding of quality systems.
  • Effective communication skills across all levels.
  • Excellent team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic IT skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel).
  • Adaptability to changing and dynamic environments.
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
Preferred Experience:
  • Previous experience in a medical R&D environment is advantageous.
  • At least 12 months of experience working in an R&D laboratory environment.
  • Engineering or R&D lab background.
