Job summary

Hydro International, a CRH Company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the UK Wastewater Services team in Southampton. The role involves installing, commissioning and testing water filtration systems on sewage sites, with site inspections and fault finding for quotations.

Regular travel and some workshop work across the country are expected. Ideal candidates hold City & Guilds, have completed a mechanical apprenticeship, and possess a current driving licence.

Qualifications

• Current driving licence required.
• City & Guilds qualification or equivalent.
• Completed recognised mechanical apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, set up and test water filtration systems on sewage sites.
• Carry out site inspections and fault finding; compile survey reports for quotations.
• Access and interpret technical instructions using mobile electronic equipment.
• Work at heights, in confined spaces and on sites linked to wastewater.

Job Title - Mechanical Engineer

Location - Southampton

Salary - Circa £50,000 OTE DOE

About Us

The Mechanical Engineer will ne working within Hydro International's UK Wastewater Services (UKWWS) team. We support water utility companies by improving sewage sites across the United Kingdom.

We are looking for an experienced/qualified Mechanical Engineer to join us at our Manningtree branch.

In this job you will...

• Install, commission, set up and test water filtration systems on sewage sites.


• Carry out site inspections and fault finding and compile survey reports for quotation purposes.


• Access and interpret technical instructions using mobile electronic equipment.


• Work at heights, in confined spaces and outside on sites connected with Wastewater (sewage).


• Work away from home on a regular basis, requiring overnight stays.


• Work in some of our workshops across the country on occasion.


• Work as a team with other staff and trades within the business.

About You

• Current Valid Driving License


• City & Guilds Qualified


• Served a recognised mechanical apprenticeship
