Pioneer Selection is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their FMCG manufacturing site in Ruskington. The successful candidate will perform mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, and planned preventative maintenance on automated production machinery, ensuring maximum uptime in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a recognised mechanical engineering qualification and experience in an industrial or FMCG setting. This position offers a competitive salary up to £52,500 and numerous benefits including pension, life insurance, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Carry out mechanical maintenance, fault‑finding and planned preventative maintenance on a range of automated and semi‑automated production machinery.
• Ensure maximum uptime and efficiency in a fast‑paced FMCG environment.
• Work a weekend, late shift pattern to reduce downtime, improve reliability and support production performance across the site.

Requirements

• Mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Hands‑on experience with pre‑planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast‑paced industrial factory.
• Ability to work a weekend, late shift pattern.
• Hands‑on mechanical fault‑finding experience.
• Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical maintenance experience with motors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Desirable: Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in the UK.
• Desirable: Previous experience within FMCG, food, beverage or packaging environments.
