Job summary

Reed in Canterbury, Kent is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to transform process designs into practical mechanical solutions for manufacture and worldwide delivery. The role supports graduates through to engineers with a few years of experience.

You will develop mechanical designs from process specs, produce 2D drawings in AutoCAD and create 3D models in Inventor or SolidWorks. The role involves heat exchangers, piping, valves and BOMs, plus collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with AutoCAD and 3D CAD software such as Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate engineering documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs from process engineering specifications.

• Collaborate with engineering, production and commercial teams on product development and continuous improvement initiatives.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer to join a specialist engineering and manufacturing business operating within the industrial process, energy and cryogenic technology sectors.
