Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an on-site Facilities Management professional to support the line manager in delivering FM contracts and implementing the company management system.

You will coordinate maintenance schedules, manage health and safety standards, and ensure services meet contractual requirements and client expectations. The role demands strong planning, communication, and collaboration with contractors and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Understanding of asset management principles.
• Experience with management systems such as ISO 9001/14001/18001.
• Health & safety knowledge including COSHH.
• Proactive attitude and continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent planning and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, satisfactory performance and further development of all contracts and accounts under your responsibility.
• Manage quality, environmental and health & safety issues on site in line with company policies and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate Planned Preventative and Reactive maintenance to correct specifications and frequency.
• Organise and manage mechanical and electrical maintenance schedules per legislation and CAFM system.
• Oversee external maintenance contractors to meet schedules and compliance.
• Maintain client satisfaction and service quality, identify and implement improvements.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and other relevant guidance.
• Ensure tools, equipment and materials are available to deliver services effectively.
• Assist with Sub-Contractor management and monitoring.

About The Role

To support their line manager in the delivery of the existing FM contracts. This will be achieved via the practical implementation of the company’s management system and the utilisation of the technicians knowledge.

To support their line manager in the delivery of the existing FM contracts. This will be achieved via the practical implementation of the company’s management system and the utilisation of the technicians knowledge.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00

Duties & Responsibilities

• To ensure the safe, satisfactory performance and further development of all contracts and accounts for which he is responsible.
• Take an active role in the management of all quality, environmental and health & safety issues on the site for which he/she is responsible in compliance with company policies and arrange Compliance with contractual requirements.
• Ensure the Planned Preventative and Reactive maintenance are carried out to the correct specification with regards to both frequency and quality.
• Organise and manage the mechanical and electrical maintenance schedule in compliance with current legislation and as detailed in the CAFM system.
• Organise and manage external maintenance contractors to ensure mechanical, electrical, and building fabric maintenance schedules are carried out in accordance with current legislation and as detailed in the CAFM system.
• Client satisfaction and the quality of service provided.
• Identifying and implementing innovations to improve service delivery.
• Ensuring continuity of systems in a manner, which fully complies with all legal, qualitative, health, safety and environmental standards and other relevant guidance.
• To ensure that tools, equipment, and materials are available as and when required to ensure the effective delivery of the service.
• Assist with Sub-Contractor management and monitoring.
• Ensuring, demonstrate, review, and monitor compliance, to meet the expectation and needs of the Client, the quality and organisational goals of the company and satisfy the requirements of BS EN IS0 9001:2015

Skills & Knowledge

• Understanding of asset management principals and maintenance techniques.
• Experience of operating a management system i.e. ISO 9001:2000, 14001, 18001.
• A strong working knowledge of Health & Safety principles including Risk Assessment, COSHH etc.
• A pro-active attitude.
• Excellent planning skills.
• Good IT/computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills including verbal and the written word.
• The ability to form relationships with clients and to exceed customer expectation.
• Approachable demeanor and a demonstrable commitment to team working.
• Consistently works to a high standard and looks for ways to improve current working practices and processes to meet the needs of the business.
• High levels of self-motivation, technical inquisitiveness, enthusiasm, and commitment
• A track record of delivering similar roles.
• A commitment to continuing professional development in relation to themselves.
• A formal H&S qualification i.e., IOSH managing safety certificate or similar would be useful
